I originally worked with Form2Mail after getting a couple of requests to send form details to a given email address, a process which I don’t relish creating by hand. The user interface on this extension, along with download and installation, are billed a s being extraordinarily simple and easy, and this is true; being more of a designer than a coder at heard, I’ve run into problems with some extensions but had no issue here. The extension basically sends all the inputted fields in a form –labeled, of course– in an email to a specified address, and also sends vital statistics like IP address, browser, server time, and so on.
While I appreciate the simplicity of the extension, it was also a little frustrating to find that the same producer offers an extension with extra capabilities that could come in handy for some clients, such as creating an Excel file along with sending an email. Since this extension is the same price as Form to Excel and Mail, I’d recommend getting the fuller package for most designers, but if you just want to work with something simple and capable of transmitting information-rich emails about submitted forms, this extension will do the trick.
