  Perl may seem like an icon of the past for many designers, and if you work solely with new sites, you probably won’t come up against this aging language very often. But for site refurbishments and other edit jobs, Perl can come up fairly often. There are a lot of form senders made in Perl scripts out there that were published before the modern prevalence of captcha security systems, and Hot Dreamweaver has made this extension to help update those forms with some decent protection. With a reasonably low price, this extension is a worthy purchase for designers with a lot of clients, as inserting a compatible captcha that won’t mess up the surrounding code is admirably easy with this method.
  The requirements created by the code itself are low, so it’s rare that a given system will have problems with the resulting captcha, and clients tend to like the fact that form fields will be saved in case a user answers incorrectly, preventing frustrated site visitors from wandering off. While I’m sure it’s possible to write a captcha script every time the need comes up, this extension makes it much faster and easier, and can mitigate the risk of time-consuming mistakes or code conflicts. A must-have if you work with lots of forms, or if you have a number of Perl clients.
