This is an extension that will definitely come in handy for anyone who has to work with forms frequently during the course of their design work (which I think accounts for the vast majority of modern designers). The modern standard for drop-down boxes with multiple options is forming a hierarchy of data sets to limit the size of the list of options, helping the user find their preferred entry more quickly and with less frustration. One of the most popular uses for such a structure is filling out location on an order form; users might be presented with an incredibly long list of international cities, but with a properly structured hierarchy system they can first select a country, and then be given a list of cities within said country.
Coding this yourself can be a pain for designers who don’t have a very deep knowledge of Dreamweaver’s code view, but this extension can take care of everything literally with just a few clicks. The extension creates XML documents, to prevent having to update every single form with the same data, as well. The price on Relational List isn’t bad at all, though designers may want to consider if an auto-complete extension would serve their purposes a little better. Still, this is a good extension to have in the toolbox for delivering professional and contemporary sites without a lot of hassle.
