If you find in our database an extension that in your opinion deserves a different description, or any other changes in the listing, including the download URL, please post the desired changes as Comments under the extension in question. All comments are subject to moderation, and we will modify the listings where appropriate. Remember that all descriptions should answer the question "What does it do?" and refrain from any subjective evaluations such as "nice", "awesome", "easy to use", etc. Such qualifications are only allowed in the Comments, but not in the Listings, which should remain neutral.
At this time, our database contains 672 active extensions and 643 extensions without a working link. Because there are so many of "dead" extensions, we decided to separate them HERE. If you find there an extension that YOU wish to move to the active side, simply post a comment under it, with the correct URL and any other appropriate changes.
Looking for a fun and fanciful visual flair for a page without having to do any server side scripting? TSSnow looks great on a number of different backgrounds and on pages of all types, largely thanks to its generous customization options (ranging from “snowflake” size and color to speed and even the font). You can also insert an image of choice and let the extension render that image as a snowflake, allowing for rain, leaves, or any other seasonal flourish.
Installation was straightforward and the user interface on this extension is intuitive and easy to navigate. Simple buttons and options to control pretty much every aspect of the snowflake appearance only presented a problem when I realized I’d been tinkering with the effects for nearly an hour, for the fun of it. Snowflakes and other falling design elements aren’t all that popular these days, but if you’re looking for something to get the job done swiftly and competently, this is the extension to use.
While the price seemed a little high at first due to the limited nature of the extension’s capability, it is in retrospect a fair amount to expect for a definitive design element tool such as this one. TSSnow isn’t useful for every page a designer creates, but when it has a job to do, it certainly does it well.
